 Cafe Grand Prix restaurant complex in mayfair.
The general manager Oliver Delaunoy, decided that an electronic access control system should be installed to control access to the non-public area of the building, to monitor staff arrival and departures and to prevent unauthorised access. He approached Peter Rutt of Rampart Security to recommend a system. Rampart offer a risk consultancy service along with their installation service and Peter Rutt is very conscious of fitting a system to the clients needs.
The system recommended by Rampart was Net2, a pc based access control solution manufactured by Paxton Access Ltd. Oliver says, "Peter recommended this system based on its ease of use and to suit the particular requirements at cafe Grand prix."
 Net2 has been installed and is used with proximity explains" The proximity readers are good in our working environment. It would slow down the staff to use swipe cards and be awkward for my waiters." Currently six doors have access control. The staff entrance has a reader in and out this enables Oliver to monitor attendance and time keeping. Oliver says"The software is phenomenal, very straight forward and easy to use. We utilise most of the functions - time zones for shift workers and access levels to restrict access into my office. I really feel that this access system is a big benefit to us and would have no hesitation in recommending Rampart to anybody thinking of installing access control."
Case Study 2 Mulberry Bond St
 Mulberry have just completed a major refurbishment on their flag ship bond street store.
When this project was embarked on, Mulberry approached Rampart for recommendations on security. Peter Rutt of Rampart explains " We offer our clients a competitive service acting as a consultancy as well as an installation company. Our first step is to look at the business and compile a risk evaluation, prior to recommending solutions. We have to take into account ease of use and any particular requirements the customer may have. In this instance we needed to offer a system that would work perfectly and yet be invisible."
 Rampart used a Paxton System with vandal proof readers which can be buried in a wall or door frame. Most of the readers are hidden behalf leather and one deader is hidden behind a mirror. The site has need no support since the system was commissioned we think this is due to good staff training by Rampart.
